Aureon Collector

About

Built on direct handling, not theory.

For seventeen years we have bought, handled, examined, authenticated, documented, stored, moved and taken responsibility for Hermès at scale. Aureon Collector is the professional application of that experience.

Our story

The service was always the business.

We have operated internationally and worked predominantly B2B. We have fulfilled complex corporate contracts, provided infrastructure behind other businesses, held millions of pounds of owned and consigned Hermès handbags, authenticated more than 10,000 pieces and handled more than £100 million of Hermès products through real transactions.

For years, Aureon was best known commercially for the Hermès products moving through the business, but the work behind those transactions was always much broader. We authenticated, advised, solved problems, built systems, managed risk and worked behind the scenes for other businesses.

In many respects, we were always a specialist service provider that happened to sell products as part of the service.

Aureon Collector is the natural progression. We are transitioning away from the traditional B2B resale model and placing the expertise itself at the centre of the business.

Founder

Jessica Paice

Jessica Paice has spent 17 years working across the Hermès secondary market and the wider ultra-high-net-worth luxury sector.

Her career began in luxury concierge, working with private clients and servicing some of the world’s leading financial institutions. That early experience shaped an understanding of the expectations that surround UHNW clients, where discretion, responsiveness, specialist knowledge and the ability to solve complex requests are fundamental to the relationship.

Jessica went on to build a Hermès resale business that operated predominantly behind the scenes for other businesses. Over the following 17 years, she handled more than £100 million of Hermès products through real transactions, authenticated more than 10,000 pieces and spent five years operating the UK’s largest by-appointment Hermès showroom, with millions of pounds of owned and consigned Hermès handbags under management.

A significant part of her work has been B2B. Jessica and her team have built and operated in-house Hermès functions for major personal-shopping and e-commerce businesses, providing the specialist knowledge, sourcing networks, authentication, systems and operational infrastructure that allowed those businesses to service their own clients at scale.

Her experience extends across the full commercial life of the Hermès secondary market, including acquisition, valuation, authentication, sourcing, pricing, consignment, international logistics, corporate partnerships, white-label services, e-commerce and high-value private-client management.

Alongside the commercial business, Jessica has spent years educating both professionals and private clients, designing and delivering Hermès training, workshops, masterclasses and client-engagement programmes for audiences ranging from luxury professionals to some of the world’s most sophisticated private clients.

Today, Jessica advises private collectors, professional advisers and businesses on the areas in which that experience is most valuable, from collection strategy and market intelligence to complex commercial questions, professional education and specialist Hermès advisory.

For years, the expertise sat behind some of the businesses serving the Hermès market. Aureon Collector now puts that expertise at the centre.

Independence

The expertise is now the service.

For many years, Aureon’s advice existed alongside a significant resale operation. That has changed. Aureon Collector does not operate a traditional retail showroom and our advisory work is not driven by the need to sell inventory.

Much of the information available to collectors naturally comes from businesses that simultaneously educate, market and sell. Aureon occupies a different position.

We can tell a client that a price appears too high, that a piece is less scarce than the marketing suggests, that an investment narrative is unsupported or simply that we would not make the purchase.

That independence is fundamental to the business we are building.

Global experience

Expertise has to reflect where the client actually lives.

A collection in London does not necessarily create the same requirements as one in Dubai, Hong Kong or the United States.

Insurance arrangements, security, climate, travel, storage, local professional infrastructure and the way collections are owned and used can vary considerably between markets.

Aureon has operated internationally for many years and developed a global network of specialist and professional relationships, combined with category-specific Hermès knowledge.

The people behind Aureon

Knowledge built through direct handling.

Aureon has been built through years of specialist knowledge spanning authentication, operations, supplier relationships, high-value logistics and the commercial realities of the Hermès secondary market.

The people behind the business bring different areas of expertise, but the standard is consistent: knowledge built through direct handling, judgement developed through real cases and an understanding that advice involving valuable assets carries responsibility.

Professional standards

Advice carries responsibility.
